Tigers Defeat Lethbridge 4-2

First I wanna say it was a good night for Former Tigers as 5 of them scored NHL goals including: Tyler Ennis, David Schlemko, Darren Helm, and Joffrey Lupul, Jay Bouwmeester.

Tyler's goal was on a 180 spin shot that beat Ray Emery up high. Schlemko joined in the rush and fired a low shot that beat Marty Turco. Darren Helm was skating down the side and fired a bullet top corner that trickled in past Jonas Hiller.

You can see all the goals on the nhl website, as they show game highlights of every game free. Just click on the video link on thier respective games

Thoughts
Tonight I thought the tigers played a solid game. Lethbridge's Ville Kolppanen made quite a few high quality glove saves, and he was named the games third star. It could have very well have been a 6-2 game.

I am very much in favor of seeing the Isherwood and Coyle pairing split up. The tigers team seems to be making strong headway on playing better in their own end.
They made a couple dangerous mistakes but lethbridge wasn't able to capitalize on them.

They've only let in 1,3, and 2 goals respectively in their last 3 games which is a pretty big improvement. Especially considering the type of talent they played against. Their not last in goals against anymore.

Lethbridge's Luca Sbisa really looks like a man among boys. He was throwing players like Bretton Cameron, and Tomas Kundratek( 2 of the stronger players) to the ice without looking like he was using much effort.

I didn't particularly like the reffing tonight. It wasn't horrendous but they were calling awkward stuff and probably could have let a couple accidental trips go. I was also a little stunned how Thomas Carr was the only one with a penalty after Ashton Carter came in and started mixing things up, and tripped up Tyler Bunz.

Player Thoughts
I thought Emerson Etem has been playing harder the last 2 games.I thought he threw more hits, and played in more of the dirty areas tonight. I would like to see him do more of that stuff, learn how to win battles in the corners. I also thought Joey Frazer was playing better tonight. I don't particularly like his game but he played good tonight.

Zdenek Okal needs to step up his game, and stop worrying about after the whistle jostling. I thought his play hasn't been that great throughout November.

Another thing to comment on is the Tiger penalty kill which has been awesome lately, and made the difference in tonight's game. Also kudos to Taylor Gal on another strong game.

agree on both points. Taylor Gal has improved immensely over last season.
