Scoreboard Watching

Catching Red Deer or PA is pretty much out of the question now. 7 points back with 7 game remaining. The Tigers would have to go undefeated to stand a chance.

On the plus side Red Deer beating Kootenay ate one of their games in hand.
Swift Current beat Calgary so they tie the Tigers with 69 points.
Swift Current has a lot of OT losses so the Tigers stay in 6th with the tiebreaker.

Lethbridge lost in overtime so the Magic Number to clinch a playoff spot is 9 points gained/ Lethbridge points lost.

Tigers have a big game against Kootenay Saturday Night. A loss would put then pretty much even with Kootenay, a point up but Kootenay would have a game in hand. A win would put them 5 points up Kootenay having a game in hand.

Kootenay is by far the least penalized team in the league. If the Tigers can play like they did in the second half of the game against Kootenay like they did during wednesday's game eventually they will crack Mackenzie Skapski.

Injury Note: Apparently Blake Penner had a skate cut during practice friday. It sounds like he will be out of the lineup for a while.

Cut by his own skate apparently, just above the achilles tendon. Received around 15 stitches.

Yikes, that is too bad, he was bringing good energy to the ice and scoring opportunities!
Heal quick Blake!

Down by 2 after the 1st against Kooteney.......dreadful

6th place is slipping away...... so we will be out in the first round for sure when we meet Saskatoon. *sigh* I did not expect the Tigers to make playoffs, so I know it is only a bonus that we will, but it just seems that we have lost games that we should not have, due to effort, lazy and stupid play or penalties.

The curse has been re-born.

I was only able to watch the first period. The Tigers outplayed Kootenay, but Kootenay got a rebound goal and a 2 on 1 open net goal.

Tigers had 2 prime chances to score in the beginning of the game where Valk had a mini breakaway and Sanford had a mini-breakaway.

Tigers had multiple chances in the first but were stoned by Skapksi.

Tigers outshot Kootenay in both the second and third period...

Is it just me or has Langhammer looked sharper then Lanigan lately? I would have given him the start against the Ice. Good rebound control and gives teams less second chances.

Well at least we get to see two playoff games

can't understand why we put out Dotie in the final five minutes of the game when we are looking for a goal instead of our best set up man McVeigh.

Doty* and so he can screen the goalie look for a garbage goal etc.

Digusting how the Ice took all 3 stars for themselves in an essentially 1 goal game. Sorry Koules, you should have been one of them!

think we need someone that can do a lot more than hope for a garbage goal as it has been proven that is not working

ya find another player on this team to put in front of the net that will be more effective than Doty, I guarantee TigerTurf has no problem with a 6"3 230 pound guy (the biggest player on our team) screening the goalie

Mcveigh is our best set up man????? 22 assists in 68 games!!!! I think Hunter, Valk or Pearce might better fit that title!
