Doty Signs 3 yr Entry Level Contract with the Blues

According to the St. Louis Blues twitter account Jacob Doty has signed a 3 year entry level deal with St. Louis Blues.  https://twitter.com/StLouisBlues

This pretty much paves the road for Doty sticking in the pro's this year, and could solve the Tigers overage situation. Congratulations to Doty!

The Tigers are now at the league minimum 25 roster players and could keep all the players they currently have, however it is likely that 1-2 defenseman may still eventually get sent down.

Edit
Looks like Doty's future is still unknown. He may still end up back here. He could be playing in the echl, but I doubt St Louis would sign him to a contract for him to play in the ECHL.

He might go down as one of the scariest and most intimating fighters in Tigers history next to the Gassoffs, favourite moment was when a Pat player went knee on knee with Valk and Doty came off the bench screaming at the player to come on the ice then challenged the entire bench and not a single Pat did anything......never see stuff like that in hockey these days. Defiantly going to miss watching him

If im the Tigers i think they should make a move for Carroll on Victoria, they have 5 19 year olds and 4 of them are big assets to the team Carroll is one of the protectors on the team and is a big mean finish his checks kind of forward.... Tigers could use Broadhead/Staples and a pick or two to pry him away from the Royals then trade Becker for a pick to cover the trade. Defiantly a huge assumption but if they get Carroll and Hunter comes back this team could make a very deep run in the playoffs and Carroll could come back next year as a 20 year old

It was definitely a sight to see Doty come into the crowd and watch the opposition immediately calm down. I'll miss watching him.

A small thing anon 12:07 and 1:50 -I think you mean "definitely" not "defiantly".

Tigers lost 4-3 tonight. I watched on the webcast and thought the game definitely had a early season feel to the game. Both teams had lots of unnecessary turnovers and I thought the Tigers were fighting the puck.

This game easily could have gone either way, and was a bit disappointed the Tigers didn't turn it up a notch. Langhamer wasn't tested that much but was handcuffed on a few shots.

Tommy Vannelli was in the lineup. He made the simple plays and you can see he has a good ability to shoot the puck.

Both Leier and Valk had chances with the goalie out of position to tie the game.

It remains to be seen if Doty has any future in hockey based on his still-unproven hockey talent or his fists. If it's the latter, the poor kid is just being used. We'll see how his brain is still functioning in 20 years.

Doty doesn't take shots like Probert or Boogaard did and I'm skeptical on fighting being the main cause, I do believe there are a lot of other factors that went into Probert (he did a lot of cocaine) look at Domi that guy took an beating some nights and he's still the same guy, there's 2 examples at that it does damage and millions that it doesn't

Can confirm DOTY HAS BEEN SENT BACK this is going to be very interesting Doty is something the Tigers will need for a deep playoff run and if you let him go you run the risk he goes and plays for a division team......not sure it would be wise to play against him

The news organizations have been saying he is back as well.

Tigerturf, your thoughts on who will be traded/released of the 20 year olds. I am at a loss for who is the weakest link as all the 20 year olds bring a unique and important aspect to the Tiger style of hockey.
