These ranking really mean nothing, but it is nice to see the Tigers back in the top ten. In years past I have noticed that the Tigers have often taken a loss directly after cracking the top ten list. They are on a 2 game road trip out east facing Regina on Friday, and Brandon on Saturday.

Regina has not lost and are 4-1 since acquiring former Tiger Boston Leier. Regina also picked up an overage goaltender from Prince George in Mac Engel during the overager waiver draft.

Under 16's
4 Tiger prospects made the Western Canada Under-16 Hockey Challenge in Calgary, Alberta October 31- November 3.

BC
Caleb Fantillo

Alberta
Austin Mcgrath - Goaltender
David Quenneville - Defenseman
Mason Shaw - Forward

I believe Cameron Ginnetti (BC) is listed as a on the Tigers prospected list.

Ithink he has been dropped from the list

i know ginetti was at their rookie camp but not sure if he's on list.

from what i hear these teams are nice to make but are basically cash cows for the various hockey associations so not necessarily a slight to any one player if they don't make it.

You guys now understand why trading Leier was the wrong move?

Doty got into a fight and it fired up Regina.

Leier got an assist on the game winning goal.

Keeping a 4th liner over a 1st liner....not a smart move.

anon 2:13, whether people think it was a good move or not, it's done. Get over it, he's not coming back.
Look on the bright side, we could be in Lethbridge.

Big game Tonight.

According to Goals For and Goals against per game, Portland has the best Offense, and the Tigers the 2nd best Defense....

Also The Tigers dropped to 6th place in the CHL Top ten this week.

Did not like that game tonight. Our "leaders" did not lead. All of the 20 years olds did not play how they needed to. I am unconvinced by Langhammer in net, always have been.
BUT I love how the young guys continue to step up and play well. There is a lot of talent on the team and things just need to come together a bit.

I did not like the game either. They came out hard for the first 3 minutes, then stopped skating. Had a short burst in the second, and played well the last 10 minutes of the third.

Portland made the Tigers look like a bantam AA team giving them a complete ass kicking in the first part of the 2nd period.

I did like how the coaches completely switched up the lines as that seemed to get them going.

I feel like the Tigers get really intimidated/nervous quite easily. When the other team steps up their game they just sit back and to me that is a leadership issue.

A championship team.... when the momentum is going the other way, has the ability to make a good play to swing the momentum to even or back in their favor.

I Feel like the heart of this team got ripped out when Leier was traded. IMO they haven't been the same team since, but I think in the long-term it will be a better option if they bring in/acquire a powerforward/oomf guy who can score in the top 6 up front.

I feel that by trying to fill that size gap up front they have temporarily created a hole by losing that oomf/leadership guy that can play in the top 6...

This team still has a lot of potential and it is very early in the season.....in a way its good to have these problems now to face some adversity.

We started hard and pushed for the first few minutes and then instead of going hard after them in their own end we go back to our neutral zone trap where we put no pressure on the defense at all. Good teams make it hard on the other team in their defensive zone, by backing up all game long we make it very easy for the other teams defense. Until we get hard on the forecheck all game long we will run into these stretches in games. We need to have a couple of forwards going hard in the other teams end in a strong forecheck and we will create turnovers. Stop laying back.
