Rockets Defeat Tigers 5-4

Well I thought tonight the better team lost, and I think that is a really good sign considering Kelowna is rated the #1 team in Canada.

The Tigers got more prime scoring chances than the rockets. They buried a couple but were still a bit snake-bitten around the net. Marek Langhamer in his first game back had an up and down night stopping a couple really good shots, but let in 2 weak goals that he knows he should have had.

I thought the Tigers could have used a timely powerplay goal. They have fallen to 19th overall on the PP.

Career Firsts
Their were 2 firsts tonight. Newcomer Anthony Ast scored a goal on his first shot on net, making it his first goal as a Tigers. Kyle Becker got into his first WHL fight against rocket Carter Rigby who got the better of Becker is a very short fight.

I thought a lot of guys played really well tonight, except I thought Tommy Vannelli played like he was tired.
The Tigers built a 3-0 Lead after one period, but let off the gas, and let Kelowna back into the game. Kelowna scored 5 straight goals until the Tigers scored their 4th and were pressuring very heavily as the game ended.

This is why I thought the Tigers should have been buyers....They looked like the better team against the #1 team in canada. Their goalie could have played better, and their finish was a little better, but they still missed a lot of good close chances.

The Rockets were playing their backup.

And I have to say, you cant always blame the refs but I thought they played a role in tonights game. The double minor on Valk, the no calls on the two obvious penalties in the last minute of the game, a couple trips etc all not called. I thought the reffing was appalling. That being said, Tigers needed to bury their chances.
I still do not like Langhammer in net. As always, always a soft goal or two.....always. And it gets tough to watch game in and game out. Kelownas goalie gave them the chance to win tonight, Langhammer did not do that for us.

TigerTurf said...

I almost wonder if langhamer needs contacts it seems like his depth perception is off for longer shots.

Anonymous said...

He is terrible on long shots. First shot he was way too deep in his net. He seems to lose his position sometimes as well often giving the other team lots of net to choose from.

CatFan said...

Let's not forget the linesman missing the offside on the 4th Kelowna goal and not calling icing in the last two minutes when the puck was shot the length of the ice with the Tigers pressing. Horrible officiating!!

Anonymous said...

Really really really liked Ast. He plays quick and bigger then what he is. Good pick up!

TigerTurf said...

The officiating could have been better, but its something the Tigers can't control. That play should have been icing, linesman fault not paying attention on that one

Kirk's style of reffing is he will let a lot of physical stuff go un-penalized. I have seen him not call checking from behinds, or when the D-man is literally hugging a guy from behind.

He will let the accidental trips go, but anything stick related from the knees to the waist will get called immediately. Having your glove around the guys waist will also get called immediately.

If a forward has a slight break on the defender on an almost breakaway he will called called 90% of the time for anything remotely borderline.

He sticks to the same recipee.

I think Tiger fans should get used to losing they will skid in the standings lucky to even make playoffs in my prediction after upsetting the team chemistry with all the trades.

Anonymous said...

I disagree, I dont think we should get use to a losing skid. There were only a couple trades at deadline. I liked what I saw last game. I thought they had more spark then previous games, I am more positive then prior to trade deadline!
Go Tigers Go!!!!

Anonymous said...

Totally disagree Anon 7:14. The tiger core they have is good. It was a large loss of offence losing Shinkaruk but I think the dressing room may be better off. It is a good group with good attitudes and that plays a big part in winning games. If these boys stick to their systems then the Tigers will be a tough team to play. They have a lot of speed and as long as they use it, I think we will see an enjoyable season with a playoff round or two!

TT, I agree Vannelli looked a little tired last game and all the staff does is ask him to play more minutes.I think putting Bredo back on D would give all the dmen a chance to rest a little more and we really don't miss anything upfront as I think Bredo only has 2 pts. playing up there and like 20 pts. playing D.
Lots of season left and now that the deadline is behind them, the guys can get the room in order and gel into a team that will be enjoyable to watch and competitive.

TigerTurf said...

Shinkaruk had successful surgery last Tuesday.

Recovery time is 4-6 months. At 4 months minimum that puts it at May 4th, which last year was Game 2 of the WHL Finals...So unless he is a very fast healer, or the Tigers make the memorial cup he is done.
---------------

I highly disagree moving Bredo back to offense. He is less valuable to the team. I know the Tigers need another guy up front and are short forwards I understand it, but don't like the decision.

Bredo is very good at skating the puck out and making a good first pass. he is their best Dman. Lewington shouldn't be a 1st line guy...he gives the puck up to much to faster forwards.

You have a bunch of forwards competing for ice-time. Keep Owre/Butcher together...pair them with Broadhead or Penner Put the other one or eisenscmid to the 2nd line....

Losing your top Dman who can play 25-30 mins a night...to a forward playing 15-20 mins a game who isn't a goal scorer......I just don't like it....to me it's not a smart move...but what do i know...

Daniel Wapple stopped 28 of 30 shots for Regina last night in a 6-2 win over Saskatoon.

McVeigh hasn't dressed for Regina yet.

I agree TigerTurf. Bredo is a better defenceman than forward.

I think were going to like Ast. He made a great impression against Kelowna.

longtimefan said...

Bredo was with the defencemen at todays practice.

3:50 interesting comments that lewington isnt a 1st pairing D,and doesnt hav ethe speed really, what hockey do you really watch, so Vanelli is that at minus what?? Lewington leads D in plus minus again!! plays against top lines, only , note only physical D we have period, the rest are afraid of their shadows, has 6 goals with no PP time compared to the othe 4, so hmmm who is the top pairing, you seem to know hockey pretty good though NOT!!!

TigerTurf said...

Not trying to rag on Lewington. When he is at his best he can be #1 guy, but it is not always there.

I feel that in close quarters he doesn't see the ice well enough to get off a first pass or create ice when pressured, and that is key.

He is a solid #2 pairing guy because he is defensively solid around his net, and strong like a bull. He needs to anticipate the play around him better for the first pass out of the zone, if he can reach that level consistently I would see him as a #1 guy.

When he is on his game He can be a number 1 guy.

I'd consider Vannelli, Bredo as #1
Lewington Stanton Becker #2 guys
Staples Allan #3

Preferred lines
Vannelli Bredo
Lewington Stanton
Becker Staples
Allan

Probably interchange Stanton and Becker every few shifts

TigerTurf said...

talking out loud.....

2016 seems to be the next "up year". 2015 the Tigers will still be a decent team. They could still challenge for home ice in round 1, could be the "darkhorse" pick.

In 2015 They will have 7 19's that if your optimizing for the year after would probably be looked at moving one or three of them, unless everybody improves a lot and they have an unexpected up year...a year earlier, but I highly doubt the Tigers would be willing to add a piece anyway.

In 2016
Penner, Butcher, Owre will be 19. Sanford, cox 20, plus (pick a '95) as overagers. In 2 years that will be a very good top 6...albeit still small.

Defense on the other hand is a tad more unknown Hobbs, Schultz, Quenneville, Allan, (likely one of staples/Stanton). They have the potential be a very solid group, but might need supplemented by a 19 yr old vet....but that is still a ways off yet and time to gain experience.
-----------------

So If I'm the Tigers. In the offseason I'm looking at 17 becoming 18 yr old forwards with size for one or two of this years 18 becoming 19 yr olds....if possible......someone who fell behind the depth chart....brandon might have one to sell...they are going to be dominant next season.

Despite langhamer being a 20 yr old goaltender I'm giving the 17 yr old schneider (or the backup) every 4th game or so ish.......you never know someone might panick and want to acquire langhamer at the deadline as well....but its highly unlikely being a 2 spotter.

In off-season draft a undrafted euro who will be 18 in 2015. I say undrafted because if we get a good one he could be gone at 19. Or a 17 yr old euro.

Anonymous said...

Could we possibly see a kid line of Shaw-Bradley-Jevene next year? Down the road they could be a very could good part of a top 6 IMO.

TigerTurf said...

Possible.

I love it when the Tigers Defeat lethbridge! Their fans go crazy on the lethbridge blog haha

Anonymous said...

Tigers beat Lethbridge by ONLY one goal, how pathetic. Only one line scoring again, this team will not go far

Anonymous said...

Do you think Brandon would be willing to give someone up cheaply?

TigerTurf said...

That was just an example....I haven't looked into how their roster is shaping up..

I just think when finding players, its best to look at other teams current overall depth at one position...Chances are if a team is very strong at one position, they are likely to have a guy who is fairly good that is receiving less ice-time, where new prospects are bumping him for ice-time.......if its a situation where the guy shows potential.....then a player could be had for cheap because your helping them resolve their situation.

longtimefan said...

Lose and fans complain, win and fans still complain. Anon 10:10 you are probably right, this team isn't going to win the league title this year but I'm betting there are fans in at least a dozen other cities that would take this franchise over what they have in a heart beat. We've been fortunate to have been able to watch a real competitive team for a long time now. They continue to put a solid product on the ice without the benefit of any high draft picks which is a credit to the coaching staff, management and ownership of this team. While there are some things I would like to see them do differently (get bigger) i feel lucky as a fan that we get to see a competitive hard working team year in and year out.

I agree Longtime Fan.
-----------
I was doing some calculations. On Shots for and Shots against, since Mid December.....their are some positive signs...they are headed in the right direction.
---------------------
In the last 10-12 games the Tigers shots for, and shots against has made a noticeable improvement, however it hasn't made a dent in comparison to total goals scored, or lower opposition goals...which is strange. (although Wapples save percentage really dropped in the last 6-7 games.)
----------------------

Since late November goal scoring has slowly decreased. Shinkaruk's last game was December 1st...however his last goal was November 9th....so even though Shinkaruk wasn't scoring it appears that the Tigers offense slowly started dropping about when Shinkaruk left.
-----------------------
In the new Year the Tigers have a shot percentage of 6%..that is ridiculously low. Opposing goalies have a .940% save percentage. In the New year they have outshot opposition at a 2:1 ratio with a combined .504 winning percentage of other teams
------------------------------------

Their are signs of improvement over last month despite it not showing up on the scoreboard or standings.

Anonymous said...

Tiger Turf.........you have any stats for the PP and PK
since Shinkaruk's last game played?

TigerTurf said...

They are 16% on the PP after Shinkaruk left. 11/67
Last 5 games they are 8.7% 2/23

3- vanelli
2- sanford
2- valk
1- koules
1- lewington
1- mveigh
1 stanton

5 of 11 goals by Dman
---------------------
With Shinkaruk Dressed they are 11/72 = 15.2%
That's interesting...expected them to be better.

Anonymous said...

I am not sure if anyone else noticed, I follow tiger stuff on twitter and not one person on the team wished Hunter good luck with his surgery after he had posted about his surgery. I found that funny, it would seem that there was not necessarily significant bonds between him and some other guys in the dressing room. Even though the tigers miss him on the ice, I am not so sure they miss him in the dressing room. I am not sure he was a team-first sort of guy.

Anonymous said...

Tiger fans are so lucky. They complain constantly but they forget the days in the 90s where they could not make playoffs. Maybe the fans need to try out what Lethbridge fans are going through before b*tching so much!
Go Tigers Go (and that does not change with wins or losses)!

TigerTurf said...

Lewington made me eat my words today. He played amazing out there tonight!!!
----

I like that the Hitmen came out hitting hard and the Tigers took it on the chin, kept going, played their game, and made the Hitmen look very slow. Even though the Hitmen are a lot bigger the Tigers speed allowed them to lineup and tune a couple players up.
----
The Hitmen's Leading scorer Greg Chase hit Ty Stanton from behind, and got a 5 minute major and a game misconduct and likely a suspension is coming...was a dirty hit.
------
I hope Broadhead is alright he took a surprise hit and was down for a bit.

Anonymous said...

Lewington was amazing, if he plays like that he will see time in the NHL. Just needs to consistently play that way.
The players play the Hitmen well usually and tonight was no exception. I like when they take the hits and keep going as it seems to negate the size difference. Rather then play the Hitmens hitting game, force them to play the Tigers game, the speed game. And then Hitmen could not keep up.
Cox and Sanford will be unbelievable next year. Owre was a player who stood out tonight, always moving his feet and buzzing around the net. I think good things are to come from him.
Langhammer, yet again a goal he should have had. No screen on the first goal. It did not make a difference tonight but it will in tight games. I still do not like this with his game. Always a weak goal.
Becker has moments of brillance and then moments where he does not skate for the puck, loses the battle on the boards and this causes the second goal. I would trade him, was very sad not to see him gone at deadline. He has no urgency in his game. Yes, puts up some points but gives the other team so many pucks it is frustrating!
Great job to the Penner line as well, awesome! Great game! Love beating the Hitmen!

TigerTurf said...

My Mind is kinda blown after the game tonight. The Hitmen are the biggest team in the League, and the Tigers one of the smallest, but they made the Hitmen look slow and small.
---------------

I've seen a lot of good scouts at the Tiger games the last week or two. But Kelowna and Calgary also have some good prospects.
---------------

Becker is a smart guy, but I don't like the lack of urgency he has. When he plays with urgency he is a good player. He needs his smarts and urgency to be better than his agility weakness.
---------

Vannelli is starting to get on my nerves a bit....He is a great player but bad habbits are creeping in.
-------------

The Butcher,Penner,Owre line....I keep thinking WOW they are only 17. Each one of them will probably be 20+ goal scorer next season if not 30+ goal scorers. Owre is really coming along lately

These guys are going to light the league on fire for 2, possibly 3 years.
-----------
A game like tonight gets me really excited because they annihilated the best team in the East. Even the Hitmen Coaches were off their rockers.
------

longtimefan said...

Anon 10:33 I'm wondering which of the goals was a weak one, the one top shelf or the one the Tiger player deflected into his own net. To me the saves he made on the 4 minute Hitmen pp in the second period with the score 4-2 were the difference in the game. If Calgary gets the third one we are probably talking about a different outcome tonight.

Anonymous said...

First goal on Langhammer was weak. No deflection and was from outside the circle. He did not seem to move much. I though at the time and now after watching the replays that an elite goaltender needs to make those saves.
Outside of this game Langhammer has moments where you see his unreal athletic ability. He is very mobility. But he seems to miss shots that are dead on, no screen and from a bit of a distance. I am not sure if he gets his mind out of the game if he is not regularly tested but it is odd he misses those on a fairly regular basis.
TigerTurf has mentioned this same fact in a previous post, he may state it better then I, but I just feel there are some easy goals that seem to handcuff him, and those goals are unscreened and he needs to have those ones!

Anonymous said...

With his 2 goals last night Valk reached a milestone of 100 career goals in the WHL.

longtimefan said...

Very tough stretch of games coming up as they play 9 of the next 11 on the road starting with 4 out west, 1 at home followed by games in Moose Jaw, Brandon, saskatoon and PA. The next three weeks will go a long way in determining where the team will finish in the standings.

Anonymous said...

Greg Chase got 1 game for his hit from behind, seems kinda light if you ask me.

TigerTurf said...

1 Game is a bit light IMO, but I didn't think he would get much more than that. I put my money on 2 games as the intent of the hit.... he went at him full on from behind....was nasty.

Probably only got one because stanton wasn't seriously injured, and Chase has only been suspended once before.

Anonymous said...

Tigers played well against Victoria. Langhammer had a good game. Probably the best I have seen him play. They may have deserved a better fate in this one. No points but I would walk away with the fact that there were a lot of positives. We need that PP cashing in more tho! Sometimes they don't move the puck enough and don't get the goalie moving side to side and get a screen. Over all a great game tho!!

TigerTurf said...

I watched about ten minutes in the first period and the Tigers had 4-5 prime shorthanded scoring chances, but couldn't score.

Anonymous said...

I can't wait until 2016 and watch Butcher, Penner, Owre treat this league apart....

Mark my words they will all be 25+ goal scorers next season, if they remain healthy.

They all hustle like crazy and never take a shift off.

Anonymous said...

I love the new Doty!!!

Anonymous said...

Penner is awesome, a guy who plays in both ends. He developed well, defensive first with good forecheck when it allowed. But now we are seeing his offensive ability.
I have noticed in the last few games Doty has played the puck, gone to the net, dangled and taken more time instead of just throwing it away. He also is using his size and gaining position. In the last 2 games he has looked more like a power forward then a 4th line goon. Unreal improvement! Love that we kept him! Hope he keeps this up!
Great game tigers, keep it rolling!
Go Tigers Go!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

The Penner -Owre- Butcher line will be an elite line in the WHL in a year or two. Just wait!

TigerTurf said...

Doty showed spurts of that ability early in the season, but it was just spurts.... Now that ability looks to be more regular...and he is seeing a tiny bump in ice-time.

He has found that I don't know what to call it but "springy momentum alertness"?...sometimes this comes to a player for a few weeks, but then they forget how to bring it back....Its kind of like a heightened sense of awareness where your brain processes things much faster, and your body is on a caffeine rush.

Where he puts himself in the appropriate space from the defenseman is mentally focused and ready to change directions and forc the play by springing a direction, with speed puck and puck control with confidence.......rather than a "I'll turn this way and hope for open space"

The fact that he is not known for this makes is really surprising on the Defenseman.....as he undressed Alex Roach a Signed NHL player with a move in tight the other day.
---

Doty is improving and I like that....hope he keeps going with it.

I get sick of watching Langhammer and weak goals. Night in and night out there is always one. Well, in Kelowna there were many. It is frustrating to watch. I am sure teams know to shoot from a distance because he wont get it anyways. And poor rebound control. Too bad because the Tigers started the night out great.
Bredo had a terrible game, one of very few he plays terrible. It is tough when your best players are not their best. Will happen, but just makes it hard to win. He had to terrible turnovers that both resulted in goals.
Too bad, but onwards to Kamloops. Here is hoping Schneider is in net. I am anything would be better then Langhammer. We should have traded him and kept Wapple and Schneider.

Anonymous said...

Langhammer is not a starter in this league. Big rebounds, not covering rebounds and not making unscreened saves. And when things get in tight around him he starts flopping around like crazy.
Hoping after this year it is the last of him.
Good first period, grow from that, forget the rest of the game. 4th line played the best and Bredo should have been benched. Usually a stud of a player but was terrible tonight. He does not have too many off games, this was one of them tho.

Anonymous said...

Where is Wapple?

Anonymous said...

Is Langhammer really our guy? Schinds in tomorrow?

Anonymous said...

I can't explain the Kelowna game. The first was awesome. The rest was Bredo giving the puck up and Langhammer letting in every easy shot and saving the hard ones. What the hell happened???

Onto the Loops, don't wanna think about that game again!

Kelowna game (2nd and 3rd) = OMG

Would really like to see Schneider given a chance in net tomorrow. He has looked good in practice and I think Langhammer needs a break. Also, given that he is going to be the our goalie of the future, best to get him into some games!

Tonight was a rough one but go Tigers go tomorrow! Can still come home at .500 on this trip!

Wow, I thought there would be some comments on the thrashing last night. Terrible 2nd and 3rd but they can play better. Langhammer can play better. What I am worried about is Ast, is he hurt? Any news on him? I really like that kid and I think he has brought a Boston-like attitude into the dressing room and on the ice. I also was hoping he could have a fresh start in MH without worrying about injuries. I was hoping there had been some news on him! Hoping for the best!

Anonymous said...

Congrats to Schneider on the shut out. I liked his game. Not tested a huge amount but was solid. Hope we gets more games.

Anonymous said...

I agree. Not sure Langhammer is up for the job. I am still not a fan of his euro style creeping back in when things get tough. He loses the butterfly when he gets pressured. Also, yes, as TigerTurf mentioned in a previous post, why can he not get shots from a bit of a distance? A number of them were unscreened. He has to have those ones.
Bredo had a terrible game in Kelowna. Does not happen often, hard to watch as he is always so steady and reliable.

Anonymous said...

He shoutout to the GM picking up an injury prone player and he's injured I'm sure you couldn't get anyone else with a high pick like that........frustrating

Anonymous said...

Any word on Ast? Hope the guy is ok!

Anonymous said...

See if Scott Allan gets any ice-time next game after fighting Clouston's son

Anonymous said...

Because the guy has had injuries does not mean that he will continue. It is a matter of coincidence not a defect within the player himself. It seems you think picking a player is like buying a used car, and like our GM failed to take him to the mechanic for a checkup prior to purchase. Sadly, people are not like that. Past injury has more to do with being in the wrong place at the wrong time or an aggressive style of play rather then an inner defect within the player which makes him a poor choice. Anon 7:18, that was an ignorant statement that is disrespectful to a player. Grow up.
Ast, hope you recover soon, your energy and spark on the ice was missed in the last game. Us true fans look forward to your return!

Anonymous said...

I doubt Clouston cares if someone fought his son. Allen fought when he was called upon to do so. Shawn does not strike me as the kinda guy who plays his team differently against his son. I think he plays to win and the guys are expected to stand up and do what is needed. Fight if you have to fight.

Anonymous said...

Anon 7:18 - I disagree on judging a kid so harshly for getting injured. He has done nothing less then score on his first shot, bring energy, effort and speed to the team. The fact that a guy on the team got injured playing 4 games in 5 nights......I think everyone would have predicted someone would come out banged up after this.
Ease up, give him a shot before damning the player and the GM.

Anonymous said...

Oh man, that same stupid GM probably drafted Shinkaruk, he should have known he would need hip surgery! Like seriously, does he not predict these things?!?! So frustrating, I agree!

I appreciate that...

I love watching Tigers hockey...those recaps....2.5 hours watching the game/taking notes, and 30 mins of writing.....I love doing it, so it is not work to me.. It's just harder and harder to find the time to do it.......usually get a little burned out during the stretch run.

I started this blog up because at the time one article in the newspaper on game day wasn't enough for me...and I wanted to use this place as an information gatherer on the Tigers. I wanted more coverage and someone who was able to hopefully remain a little impartial and try for unbiased explanations on the hockey operations.

With the increase WHL social media presence I have considered stopping altogether, but I am kind of addicted to this blog myself.

I initially didn't want anyone else to write on this blog, but I am thinking that in the off-season I will try and recruit someone to help share their views, the odd game-recap, moderate the comments, and someone who has a decent hockey sense, and no expectations of getting paid.

If something like that may interest you....I will probably take comment history as the main reference point..so pick a handle and generate a good comment history.

On the radio Saturday Clouston said that the slash Ast took against Kelowna actually cut his arm and they were still awaiting results and feedback from the doctor. The slash looked bad and went unpenalized. Not Ast's fault. I've had slashes like that before and they numb your whole hand. Hopefully just a deep bruise and not cracked or broken.

Game against the Ice was another good game. Nice to see the tigers stringing some good games together. You can see that road trip gave them some confidence. Langhammer bounced back nicely after the Kelowna game. I thought all 4 lines looked great!! And was happy to see Ast back and putting in another goal! Shame to the guy who was criticizing trading for him because he was slashed!!! Great player, great energy! Look forward to watching more of him!!!

Nice to see tigers get a win over the ice, team effort was good to see, lots of contributors.
The score could have been 7,8,9 for the tigers given all the so very close chances!!

I'm guessing the guy that did the game day announcing last night won't be doing it again after his pylon comment during the second intermission. Although it was humorous I would think the Tigers will be reprimanded for the comment he made.

Anonymous said...

Pylon comment?

Anonymous said...

I did not hear that comment. I did not much like the guy with Rids last night. I hope they do not have him on again! Especially now that I understand there was a pylon comment!
Was a good game, did not see any reason last night to call anyone out there, on the Ice or Tigers, a pylon. Was a hard fought, well played game!

longtimefan said...

to further explain the pylon comment, it was made while they were setting up for the on ice race between the second and third period. The guy with the mike said we are using red pylons for this because the Kootenay Ice are in their dressing room. The last time a comment similar to that was made the guy never announced at a Tiger game again.

Anonymous said...

i think the last guy who got booted was the P.A. announcer and he made a comment that the Tigers enforcer at the time was "still undefeated" while announcing the penalties after a fight. could be wrong tho. Would be interested to hear the real story behind that one if anyone knows it!

longtimefan said...

anon 7:42 you are correct, the announcer was Harv Spears and the Tigers were playing Kamloops when Ken Hitchcock was coaching the Blazers. I believe the Tiger player was Clayton Gainer and Hitchcock came unglued and was trying to get over to the timekeepers box after the announcement was made.

Anonymous said...

The SC game and the Edm game shows how terrible Langhammer is. Was a mistake to keep him. He is just terrible. I hope he is traded or just released in the summer. Why the heck would the Coyotes ever want him? I struggle to watch games where he is playing, always some terrible goals. Game in and game out he does not give the team a chance to win. Just play Schneider and pull Robidoux back up. We gotta let him go. And Wapple is having nothing but success with Regina, so fricken frustrating to see.

My gosh, I have no idea what has happened but the Tigers start strong and then get beat. I don't think you can always blame losses on the goaltender but I do wonder about Langhammers play in the last 2 games. Watching this game and the replays of last, he really does get beat on shots he should have. And it seems that it happened a few times last game and again this game. I hope the Tigers can get the goaltending coach down to work with him. Given Wapple's success in Regina, I really wonder if the wrong goalie was traded away. At this point, I do not see Langhammer as worth keeping as a 20 year old. And I wonder if he will get signed with the NHL. Just not good enough.

I agree, release Langhammer in the summer. This crap is not worth it.
