Brad Forrest Re-Assigned

Brad Forrest was Re-assigned to the Calgary Mustangs of the AJHL.

Forrest was just a casualty of the extreme depth the Tigers have on the back-end. It leaves 9 WHL rearguards on the roster.

Current Defense
Vannelli(19) Lewington(20)
Becker(20) Stanton(19)
Staples(19) Hobbs(17)
Quenneville(16)
Schultz(17)
Allan(18)

This move pairs the Tigers roster down to 24 players. (25 including Rathjen) which is under the league limit of 25.  I guess the Tigers don't have to make a move, but surely 9 Dman is still 1-2 too many.

Too bad, I thought he belonged here.

When is the deadline for overages and team numbers?

I heard an interesting rumour tonight. Was talking to a Canucks scout who thinks they are sending Shinkaruk back to juniors.

Shinkaruk was sent to the AHL

The Canucks minor team will have 17 forwards after all cuts are made with healthy lineup.

Room for 12 in Utica....add 2 for depth = 14....

3 extra players. Bo Horvat can only play NHL or Junoirs...Shinkaruk only slide eligible contract.

I guess its feasible, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Anyone know when the speedy Ast will be back?

He was listed as Day To Day a week ago.

The Tigers should easily make the top ten list this week, seeing as they lead the league again.

I thought Ast was out for a while as the injury is serious.

I have heard that Ast will be out for weeks. He is having to see a specialist for the injury. Do not know what the injury is but heard he will not be returning until likely in December. This is what makes me think that there will still be a change on defence as we can not afford to lose another forward with Ast being out this long.

I wish and I mean wish that the Tigers could get that Ully kid from Kamloops. Really liked his play last night. He would be a good fit on the team with his speed and hockey style. Will not happen, was just day dreaming and not wanting to work.

How is Curtis Valk doing in Utica? Wacey looks to be doing well.

Not going to lie, so happy to see the Oil Queens off the top 10. Also, had no idea that Portland was to be terrible this year. I guess they lost a lot of the good guys that they had. Not sure if Koules would have been all that excited to join a last place team.

Take Note that this is my guess. I'm basing it off overall record and drafted players.

This is not what has been posted by the CHL website, that comes out Wednesday. The Oil Kings are 3-3 so its very doubtful they make it on the list.

We have to assume that Rathjen will be removed/traded. I have to say, really thought something else would unfold. Seems so strange that we have too many defence and too few forwards. I am not a fan of Staples or Allen up front. I think they might be good in front of the net but Allen for sure does not seem to keep up with the tigers unbelievably fast forwards.

Here is the actual list

1-RIM,
2-KEL,
3-SSM,
4-BDN,
5-ER,
6-MH,
7-MON,
8-OSH,
9-GAT,
10-EVT,

Honours:
SHE,
GUE,
KAM

My list was based on drafted players and record. I've only seen MH on this list. If a team had a similar record I used drafted players as a tiebreaker.

I was pretty accurate. I forgot about Moncton in my list I overlooked them. Replace them with Belleville and I'm out only by a couple on the bottom.

Seeing as the Tigers smoked a team in the Honorable mention list, they are having a real good start.

It's nice to see them recognized, and hopefully they can improve this by the end of the season.

Always nice seeing the Tigers on that list. Good job boys! Lets keep this going!

Please , stop saying Tigers "Reassigned" players if they move on to another league. i.e. JR A
Tigers nor any other whl team have ever "reassigned" a player.
The kid was cut . Jr A picked him up.
Good luck to him , probably better off anyhow.
