Thoughts
The Tigers came out flying. The back to back goals they scored in the first period were very timely, as it was Immediately following losing both Dylan Macpherson and Linus Nassen.

Gary Haden stepped in to fill in as the 6th defenceman. Cole Clayton also played well stepping into more ice time.

There isn't really one guy we could single out as playing well. Everyone from Preziuso to Hollett played very strong games. Everything was clicking for them tonight and Brandon wasn't able to match the Tigers work ethic.

Home Team Goes The Spoils
If the Tigers want to win they need to win both games at home. Brandon is a much different team in their own barn. Let's hope they can come out with an effort just as strong on Sunday. Having an extra day off on Saturday instead of playing back to back might turn to benefit the Tigers depending on the status of Dylan and Linus.

The good thing is that the Tigers have both Joel Craven and Trevor Longo on the bench to step in if either can't go. I'm also curious if Daniel Baker has been called up after his season ended.

Brandon may be different in their barn but they aren't playing there for this series. Dauphin is basically a road game for both teams.

I'm guessing the league may review the hit on Macpherson, didn't look good leaving the ice.

Really good game by the team last night, hoping the D core will be okay. Tigers sure seamed to have there system's intact while Brandon seemed less organized. Fan support was off wonder if it is the team, style of play, fans are making a statement truly, or if the economy is hurting it that much. Swift current drew more fans then the tigers last night. Be interesting if this continues as lets be honest it isn't about the players it is dollars and cents.

Hoping for the same result game 2

Amazing game - but one I watched on Neulion... And easily their best game of the year, in my opinion (only damper was the string of penalties in the third) - even defensively.

If the Tigers consistently had played/been coached that well through the season, picking up my playoff tickets for my usual season ticket seats would have been a no brainer. But when you never know if the game plan will be there, sadly it is much easier to just cheer from the living room. The rink, it seems, hardly missed my cowbell...

But if these are the real playoff Tigers - will likely fork over the extra $$$ and head out on Sunday.

Dylan MacPherson is between week-to-week and month-to-month, will require an MRI. Linus Nassen is more day-to-day. Longo and Craven will draw in for Game 2.

Tough blow. Macpherson is a huge part of that D Core. Not flashy but he is smooth and doesn't make mistakes. This one hurts.

Nassen says he might be available tonight, MacPherson will be re-evaluated Monday

What is everyone's theory as to why the attendance at Tiger's games has dropped so drastically in the last year? Playoff attendance at game 1 was barely over 3000!!!

Baron Thompson has been suspended by the league. Punishment is tbd.

I think a few people thought it might be a blowout for Brandon. Also have to take into consideration that buying a series pass on the webcast is equivalent to 1 Playoff Ticket.

Also there was a Puppet Show at the arena Saturday so that might have taken a few fans out as well.
