Tigers Swing A Deal With Saskatoon

Tigers Aquire Cyle McNabb for a 6th round pick from Saskatoon.

Cyle McNabb is a RW 6'1 190lb.

The WHL injury report came out today.
It lists Bryan Locker as day to day,
Nick McCarry is listed at 5-10 days.

I think Jonathan Brinkman may be in conversation make Team Denmark. Their Division 1 tournament runs from December 9th to 15th in Belarus. At this time I'm unable to find any information on if he was invited or not.

This move also puts the Tigers forward roster at 14 players, which is commonly a whl standard.
Like the article mentions above this looks like a straight deal for extra depth.

McNabb is a big body and we really need that. I have a good friend who is a Saskatoon Blades season ticket holder and he says that their loss is our gain. He said that he is very skilled and fast and not to mention a really nice kid. Hope we can give him a nice welcome on Saturday when he plays his old team in at his first home game as a Tiger!

Tigers have traded a 4th rounded for 18 year old dman Nick Perna from Portland. Why? Is someone injured? If not, who would now sit out so Perna can play?

Like both of these moves, adding depth is a good thing. My pairings would be Gavlas/Longo, Clayton/Baker and Van Impe/perna. Krebs and Agyeman will fill in if necessary. Krebs is going to be a good player but I think he’s struggled lately with the speed of some forwards, getting beat wide numerous times.

Anyone see the chatter about Brent Sutter on social media? A former NHL player called him out about being abusive and the Rebels released a statement about it.
