If that's true that leaves 6 Dman. With Cox/Sanford out they have no spares for injuries. Tigers are short bodies, I'd expect another move to shore up depth.
no euros left??? Sure could have used Michael Spacek, could have died on the list or actually got traded...Sure hope we dont have a short bench like last year.
Based on the Tigers history of keeping long serving players and he is the only 5 year guy on the team the only way Cox gets moved is if he asks for a move to a team that has a chance to play long into the spring.
I thought Josh Mcneil looked pretty solid for a 15 they should have gave him a star not very often a rookie 15 gets a goal and an assist in his first regular season game!! I hope Baxter Anderson the same Luck!!!
For all the haters on here maybe read the following a see what playing for the Tigers meant to Trevor Cox. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CSbispJUsAAM4YU.jpg:large
I like Gerlach alot that line of Shaw, Butcher and Gerlach work hard and gain all their chances with speed, grit and determination!! I also love the work ethic of the 2 15 year olds they also work hard and were playing down low in the oppositions end more than in the D zone...too bad they can only play 5 games.
The tigers have some shooters this year, Fantillo, Gerlach, Shaw, Butcher, Owre, Bradley all exceptional as Bob Ridley says "shooting top shelf for the peanut butter"
Rumour has it Lotz has gone home. He's out for 4 months, needs surgery. Brutal... What a mess. I feel bad for the players, trying to focus on playing with some sort of consistency. Maybe the owners should grab hold of there organization and take charge before it's too late.
An update on Former Tiger Matt Staples. He has made Baie-Comeau Drakkar. They picked him up a couple weeks ago making 4 OA's on their roster.
ReplyDeleteHe has played in 4 games registering 2 assists. He blocked a shot with his jaw and was wearing a full face shield next game.
Platonov sent home. No euros on the team

ReplyDeleteTigers down to 6 def. Alexie Polotonov is returning to Russia and Tomasz Laday has been placed on Waivers.
This according to Bob Ridley's twitter account.
Aye that is a good source. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteSo Cox the odd man out when he returns from injury with the OA situation?
ReplyDeleteThankfully Sutter got us Spacek. He's going to do well for us this yeah. Can't wait for tonight's match up. Good luck Tigers
ReplyDeleteWonder what we will get for cox when his paw is healed?

ReplyDeleteStanton and Sanford were on as 17's.
ReplyDelete15 yr old Baxter Anderson has appeared on the Tigers roster abnd looks like he may be a callup for the next few games.

ReplyDeleteBig news coming!!!
ReplyDeleteCox traded to Vancouver for 96 Clayton Kirichenko. Who's a defenseman. And a 2018 2nd round.
ReplyDeleteTrevor Cox is finally dealt after he has been shopped since Lotz arrived. Great deal for the tigers.
ReplyDeleteCox traded
ReplyDeleteA second round pick for cox and a D man is quite impressive!!!!! Go Tigers Go...good trade!!!!

ReplyDeleteRumor has it there is at least one more Vet forward who has asked out. The ship is going down!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll have a post coming up shortly most likely up tomorrow, its a big one.
ReplyDeleteSanford will be dealt by the deadline he has been coasting :(
ReplyDeleteOwre for captain
ReplyDeleteThe Kids played amazing tonight. 2 15 yr olds on a line who were playing regular shifts.
ReplyDeleteSpokane seems quite week and lacking confidence in their own zone, but the young guys made them pay.
How has Gerlach looked so far this yr?
