Jordan Borysiuk(16)
Ivan Drozdov(19) Import
Oleg Zaitsev(17) Import
Jeff de Wit(20) - Offseason FA pickup

Notes:
Very young group. Extreme shortness of veteran depth. Red Deer will be in tough to score goals. They will rely on a lot of youngsters..

Defence
Alexander Alexeyev(19)(.82)Colin Paradis(20)(.22)
Dawson Barteaux(18)(.5)Jacob Herauf(18)(.26)
Carson Sass(19)(.14)Ethan Sakowich(19)(.14)
Hunter Donohoe(18)(.1)
Sam Pouliot(18)(.06)

Notes
Defensively they seem solid. Alexeyev is a 1st round NHL draft pick. Barteaux is a 6th round NHL draft pick. Their will be high turnover next season if moves aren't made.

Imports

Oleg Zaitsev17C
Ivan Drozdov
19 RW
I believe Zaitsev has announced his intentions on coming to Red Deer. Drozdov is unknown but sounds like he intends to play in the KHL next season.

Goalies
Riley Lamb(20)
Ethan Anders(18)
Byron Fancy(17)

Notes:
Lamb and Anders split time. It would seem unlikely the rebels keep Lamb as a 20. Their goaltending seems average. They both put up decent numbers last season. They may see a high workload though with a weaker forward core

Other OA & Player Notes
F Jordan Roy(20)(.17)
F Dawson Martin(20)(.25)
G Riley Lamb(20)(.902)
Jeff De Witt(20) Was a rebel in his youth and appears to be an FA pickup

Drafting Outlook

Notes:
Suggests their 19yr old class should be strong, however, they made a bunch of trades which weakened that class.  Their youngster group is probably below average with late positions and missing a couple picks.

This suggests that the rebels will be below average for the next few seasons.

Last Season
.465 Winning Percentage

Offensive Raw Strength
231-195

Prognosis
The rebels will have troubles scoring goals. They have a very young roster up front. Their defence and goaltending look ok. They have a similar roster to Moose Jaw but they are lacking that complete top line scoring punch.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them become sellers at the deadline. They have some younger players I'm less familiar with coming into their 17/18yr old seasons that need to step up and bring some offence.

A wildcard spot would be considered an immensely successful season, but they may be hard pressed to make it. I see them finishing in the basement of the central.
