Didn't expect him to be sent back so soon. I guess Anaheim felt that he wasn't quite ready for the NHL. Nevertheless he will be a much welcome addition to the Tigers team as goal scoring looked to be a bit of an issue in game 1.

The Ducks made the following roster moves today:
Assigned to Syracuse (American Hockey League):
Mark Bell – Center
Mathieu Carle – Defenseman
Matt Kennedy – Right Wing
Jake Newton – Defenseman
Richard Schofield – Center
Assigned to Medicine Hat (Western Hockey League)
Emerson Etem – Right Wing
Anaheim now has 37 players remaining on its 2011 Training Camp Roster – 21 forwards, 12 defensemen and four goaltenders.

A re-run of the fights from last nights game.
Blomqvist vs Grbavac
Yakubowski vs Leier

I fudged up the score on my post from last nights hockey game. My post said 3-1, but the score was 4-2.....fixed.

Completely expected Etem to be back, just look at Anaheim's lineup, there wasn't anyone that Etem was going to be knocking out of it.
Unless Etem blew everyone away and erupted in constant offense I thought he'd likely end up back here eventually.
There was potential of him sticking with the loss of ruutu, winchester and the possible retirement of Selanne, however he was also fighting with 3-4 depth forwards with lower salaries for that spot.
makes more sense financially and for the longevity of etem's contract for him to be sent back
