The saskatoon article says Duncan Siemens has a concussion and the blades will keep him out of the lineuup untill he is symptom free for 2 weeks.

Shocked, I understood this to be his first suspension so thought they went a bit easier.
I was shocked he got 6 games as well.
The Injury report says Siemens is going to be out for 3 weeks.
The whl has upped the ante on suspensions in the new year.
Siemens out for three weeks is why he heavy suspension. If that was a 6th or 7th defenseman on a team. Suspension would be less. All leagues seem to have more value in players that are high end, or marquee players. Sends the wrong message, and hence the inconsistency in reprimanding players differently.
I am not saying there shouldn't have been a suspension, just because of WHO he hit.
Just another example of the league flipping a one sided coin to see who gets suspensions and who doesnt. The league wants changes in the game maybe put someone in charge that can make the right changes instead of guessing all the time.
