Shocking News
Chat TV's facebook page has just reported that Jayden Hart has decided not to rejoin the Tigers, and is at home awaiting a trade.
Hart has 10 points in 18 games, and is first time draft eligible this year.
Sean Rooney's twitter Feed says that Hart's Agent told the Tigers he wouldn't be back on December 22nd.
The Tigers have a limited window to Move Hart as the Trade Deadline is January 10th.
A gutsy move doing this in your draft year. I wonder what the reasoning behind it is.
Edit: Sean Rooney Sports Editor at the Medicine hat News did a phone interview with him today and Jayden Hart told him he was leaving due to "personal reasons"

Anyone know what is behind this?
Why????
Seems very strange. Wonder what is going on there. Not much class in not letting the team know. Says a lot about his character.
Strange, I understood he got along well with guys on the team, he had lots of ice time and was een wearing an "A" in a few games. Too bad, good player, but puts the team in a tough spot. Would love to know what is behind this strange move on his part.
Would think he shouldn't be hard to move. Lots of teams are looking for that guy with size down the middle however getting the return you need back might be a problem given the fact he's holding a gun to their heads.
Poor way to leave, don't trade him, let him sit the year out.
Tigers are in control, if they can not get what they want in return then let him live with the decision he made! That is what they should do!
Bye bye NHL....... What poor character
Concussion, multiple injuries, strange sickness.....not great trade bait. Won't get much in return, so hope tey don't trade him and wish him luck in Junior B.
I would not trade him because of the poor way he approached this
I agree; let him sit out the rest of the season; hopefully, he would come to his senses at some point and rejoin the team.
He hasn't looked like the same player this year but I assumed it was because of the time missed due to illness and injury. Maybe it is something more like not getting along with the coaching staff. I think they were getting on his case some because he wasn't producing like he should and maybe he wasn't happy with that??
I hear it is coaching staff
I think he is a player who is starting to blossom. I'm not sure if another team would be willing to pay what the Tigers would want for him.
If I'm the Tigers I want at least equal value in return, which is at least a 1st rounder, or a player who can put up a PPG next season, or a solid 94' born defenceman.
I hear he is well liked, but had a difference of opinion with the coaches.
If it is a difference of opinion with the coaches ten the way to approach it is probably not stamping your feet and not return. Be a big boy and talk to them. The coaches were shocked so seems he did not even approach them. Won't go far in life with that mindset. Let him sit in Junior B.
Personal reasons seems like a scripted line. You would usually talked to te coaches and team if it was actually personal reasons.
Good for Jayden, a man with backbone. And now days more and more of these boys are standing for what they believe in. Tigers are not in control, mood is real crappy and Clouston could not bully his way with him. The poor character belongs with the tigers mgmt/GM/coach.
Every player that left the tigers has done better this year than they could have under Cloustons ranting and shows he is the problem. NOT the players.
Wish Clouston luck coaching Jr B. Hart is holding up the mirror on the Tigers, he will do better anywhere else not being around this staff.
Let the chips fall where they may.Our lose though, he is good.
Happy new year to all.
Good luck Jayden, you will do well. Tigers staff have treated others worse and I think this is karma and they deserve it. But this sucks as a fan. We are a bad team and gave up a lot of talent to have the players that stay only to be beaten up for not performing when coach, GM should be held accountable just as much as players. Maybe the boys would respond to someone that treats players as people rather than poker chips?
as unfortunate as it is to have such a talented player leave the team as they will be affected we must remember that everyone has their own story. i wish him all the best
Good for hart ..he is not the only one who feels like clouston is ruining this team now and for the future . He just stood up for himself . The old days for some of these coaches are gone
He wont be coaching Jr B maybe minor hockey, no not even that what I'M I Saying!! Great for Hart your the man and a great player I agree with 11:01 stand up for yourself those coaching days have been over long long ago!! Heard everyone would walk if they had some other team to go to. His days of coaching are numbered then we will see how great of a coach he thinks he is!!
I realize it seems crummy he is leaving. However you could look at the comparitive bright side. Wand from Kootenay is ranked in the top 50 by central scouting. He decides a month ago that he doesn't feel like playing and simply retires. No compensation there.
Real shame to see this guy go. He is and will be one of my favourite players. Has the size and has skill. I wish him good luck for the future and im sure the Tigers will miss him. He always made the Tigers a better team when he was in the line up.
Anon11:01, how does Hart have control? Tigers may not like his act and to trade him, he sits, no NHL. He has NO control!!
couldn't agree more with some posters, on its not the players its the coaching staff,if you come in and yell every single intermisson, at first it might work but if you do that every game and every intermisson it looses its effect on the players, there are certain moments and times to do that, then you get the response from the players that you need,
glad to see jayden do this, maybe this will create some change in the atmosphere, i dont hope jayden will do well elsewhere, i KNOW jayden will do well anywhere
ton of skill and nice size
From what i have been hearing from a couple of players Clouston is way to easy on the players if they play a crappy game they can still go out just cant drink which in Willies days he would have early curfew and skating drills with no pucks, Cloustons coaching and GM skills have been very poor this year and i hope owners take a long look at him and then really evaluate if we can bring in a coach that can make a positive impact Cloustons patch job for a short term problem has back fired on him and we are going to go into next year with no secondary scoring, a under achieving defence and a scary goalie situation
agree with those who say its coaching. Biggest mistake owners did was making clouston gm. There is no one to talk to on this coaching staff. Hart knew he wasn't getting drafted playing with this team. Know more players would love to leave but don't trust clouston to bury them in Jr b. As far as clouston being way to easy on these guys, no, its just some guys. He has two sets of rules for how guys are treated on this team.
Good for Hart....
Not sure that Clouston is a perfect coach, probably plays into it. But unimpressed how Hart handled this. I would not trade unless the Tigers got a good return. But I guess that is what happens when ou take a gamble like he did. I would like to see more experience on the bench, maybe someone who can help Clouston more, I think it is time to get a real assistant coach and get rid of Joey. That would change the dynamics on the bench. Also, Clouston should not be GM.
Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. The bully usually has many bystanders enabling him to continue. When someone chooses to walk away it is not a weakness. It is a signal that a threshhold has been reached. Responsible adults respond with change.
What some of you people don't seem to get is verbal abuse intimidation are the qualities that your coach and new G.M. brings to the table, these are qualities I don"t think any parent would find acceptable in your own work enviroement let alone when your young son embarks on his hockey journey
when you see the enjoyment and confidence sucked out off your kid there is something WRONG
Good on you Jayden for standing up for yourself there is more to your hockey journey than haveing to put up with this type of abuse and yes its abuse
The boys who have left to a person have found there game there confidence and enjoyment of the game once again

It is deffinatley coaching and management's fault for a player walking away. There is no respect for or from either one of them. Think about it...the coach and GM has lost touch with his team and dressing room. And this includes the so called assistant staff. This decision didn't happen over night. Someone knew it was coming a long time ago. You don't think these kids don't talk?? Not only that, this sets a bad example because if there are others, and I believe there are, will consider this as a solution as well. It's happened with other teams with no control in the dressing room.
I'm disappointed by the coaches comments in the paper today about the swift current game friday night.
The Tigers got dominated physically, and the only reason they popped in 4 goals was because swift current had some defenses lapses in their own end.
Swift was winning more of the smaller battles, and even though the score was 4-1 at that point I thought the Tigers were pretty lucky.
Hart isn't the first one.
Kessy wanted to leave earlier, look how they treated Theriau, and now Hart.
Stop hack the program!!!
Great coaches are always tough.... Don Hay, Sutter, Tortella, Lamerillo, Quinn......the list goes on. Kids are doing well - Bredo, Pearce (better then in Koot), Doty (better then ever), Boston, Lanigan. So Hart could not take the heat. He will not make the NHL if he can't take criticism and yelling from a coach.
Theriau was treated fair. It is a business and he could not pull his weight. He was a risk with a big injury. With a young team we needed assurance on the back end. Every team knew we had too many 20 year olds and knew they did not have to trade for a very average Dman. So the chips fell as they should.
Clouston is still figuring out GM/head coach. Yes, he probably needs adjustments to his style but I did not expect him to be a perfect person.
I know many of the guys and have heard nothing but respect for Clouston. They all agree he knows hockey and is intense. However, calling him abusive without proof is slander and that suggestion should be used with caution!!! All of us do not know what occurs behind closed doors of the dressing room, it would be eat to refrain from making comments of slander and I hope that comment is reviewed by Tiger Turf as it is slander towards the coach.
Leave that stuff to the owners, comment on the team play, is he good enough there, but it is unfair to suggest abuse!! Trade carefully with that!!
Kessy felt targeted and needed a fresh start. Nothing to do with te coaching. Don't make up facts.
A gauge on whether or not a team is getting tired of the coaching staff is how hard they work and from what i've seen this team works very hard almost all the time, which tells me the coaches still have their ear. I've heard that when Jayden was out with his unknown illness the team thought he could be playing and Hart and his family felt otherwise, which started some issues.
Announcer said one of our players had diarrhea last night during the game thats the @$%*# we could have beat Swift by more then what we did if it was looked after better! Good job holding them in there for the win!!
Clouston is dividing the team
Just thought I'd let all you arm chair gms know is that none of us will know what the real story is about hart and the tigers!! Kase klosed
He is a good player, hopefully he gets a chance somewhere else.
Bottom line team has gotten worse under Clouston's watch...I think that's a fair statement.
Theriau retired.....finally a move that worked for the Tigers (having ryckman over theriau)
anon 9:28 it is a fair statement but it's also fair to say he certainly doesn't have the same cast of characters to work with that Willie did. Last years team over achieved due to the great years from 3 players. Etem and Bunz were capable of winning games on their own and did many times. Our defence isn't nearly as good and goaltending has been spotty at best and unless our young guys start to contribute, this will be a long second half.
I disagree that the team is worse under Clouston. We have so many new players that saying he has made the team worse is ridiculous!
Theriau retired. All the garbage said about Clouston an he proves you all wrong. Goes to show you are all probably wrong about him again. Arm chair GMs should shut it!
Inside Scoop: Hart has been criticized the whole year behind closed doors by Clouston. Clouy has tried to pressure him into playing hurt a lot this year. Clouy doesn't respect injuries to these kids.
Clouy is partly responsible for ending Theriau's career. Theriau played hurt badly te whole year. He and his family asked to leave for surgery last December. The GM and Head Coach said absolutely not.
In the playoffs Theriau with a torn cartilage and torn Labrum was called out last year in front of his team mates for not giving it his all. Was he suppose to blow up his other hip.
Lots of Posters have their own opinions on here. But have no idea about the day to day Hockey Operations and the abuse these kids take daily. It's not okay in your workplace, why is it okay in Major Junior Hockey.
These kids bite their tongue and are forced to put up with alot of shit, just to maybe get a shot at the NHL.
Hart , like Kessy, and Theriau had enough of Clouy. How do you figure, after telling not asking a kid to play the whole year hurt. How could any of you readers who have not played the game at this level understand the process?
Of releasing Theriau without even playing any games after his return. That, in itself tells you what Clouy is all about.
Players are tired of been screwed over. The Tigers have to do a better job of protecting these kids that the parents of these players entrust our community to embrace and keep safe.
breaking news on the tigers, rumor d busenius and hart traded to pa w. t.
Woke up and saw the following, Dylan Busenius, Jayden Hart and a pick to PA for Logan McVeigh, Zach Hodder and a pick.
Sorry inside scoop, i'm not buying what you are selling this time.
Inside scoop makes very valid points. If how these boys are treated is unacceptable in the workplace, how can WHL teams, Tigers... And Others get away with this treatment of players, employees? Who is looking out for the players well being? I'm sure human rights are violated daily and not tolerated in the workplace. A human rights lawyer might get rich if the truth were uncovered.
This is another reason why unions are formed, to protect those from greedy self serving employers. And these boys hardly get a proper pay for the injures and effort put forth.
If the parents only knew!
