Tigers Off To Round Two

Brandon's playoffs only lasted 6 days. The Tigers knocked them out with a commanding 4-0 sweep of the series.

The Wheat Kings limped into the playoffs and were without their star Nolan Patrick for the whole series. Brandon was also without Tanner Kaspick for game 4, and lost veteran defenceman James Shearer early in the game.

Despite those key losses game 4 was Brandon's best effort.

Brandon thought they had tied game 4 with a buzzer beating goal; however, luckily for the Tigers the Buzzer had gone off about 1 second beforehand.

Game 1: 7-2 Tigers
Game 2: 5-3 Tigers
Game 3: 6-2 Tigers
Game 4: 3-2 Tigers

Tigers averaged 49 shots a game during the series.
David Quenneville led the way in points picking up 3 goals and 9 points during round one.

For the first time in a while everybody was healthy for the Tigers and it led to the scratching of veteran defenceman Brad Forrest only seeing 1 game of action in the series.

Round 2
The Tigers will now await the winner of the Red Deer Vs Lethbridge series.  The Series is going to a game 7 which will be played Tuesday night in Lethbrdige

Any fan buses headed to Lethbridge for the Tuesday/Wednesday games next week? Would love to go.

Hell yeah whole series is being carried on Shaw!

I've heard there is a FB group trying to get a bus or two for next week. (Sorry I don't have FB so don't know the name of the grouo, just things I've heard through other people). Lol

I don't have Facebook either. If anybody can find a phone number and post it on here that would be sweet.

Unfortunately the he bus is a no go.

That really sucks!!! How the hell can that be? Wonder if a guy could charter a small bus or something like that? Even a big van load or something. This kinda series has fan bus written all over it. Lethbridge will probably be bringing one.

Traveling to the games from the West. Should be a blast. Hope to have some friendlies from the Hat to help me cheer the boys on!

That loss was embarrassing. Hurricanes have more heart

Pathetic effort tonight. Guess I shouldn't be surprised with Clouston Behind the bench.

I think the Tigers got a little caught up thinking this will be an easy series. Defensively they looked average like they have most of the season.

Off the topic but how could tonight's attendance be less than last night's (according to the WHL site)? There were at least 100 people in the upper deck, and tickets are not sold there unless the lower bowl is sold out. Also, the 50-50 was worth more than $1000 over last nights. Sounds screwy to me. Just one more thing that bugs me about this game!!!

We were sitting across from the goal - and my brother swears that the Tiger goal with about 4 minutes to go was in (light came on, but play continued). Why no replay on the screen or protest by Clouston? Most of the time, when there is a brutal call or miss by the ref - replays aren't shown... With the poor quality of officiating and the 'canes playing as thugs, at least the Canalta staff could flash them on the screen...

Btw, poor reffing invariably leads to fights and retaliation calls - the refs certainly should get a couple assists for the visiting team tonight!

Lethbridge isn't here if Estephan doesn't come back against Red Deer.He plays such a good 200 foot game and just quietly does his job. He has been really good since coming back.

WHL Live / Shaw showed several replays including definitive overhead camera shot (No goal at 4 minutes remaining). The officiating was what it always is and always will be; consistently inconsistent for both teams. As neither coach behaves like Sutter (Thank God), neither official was manipulated.

Desjardins fired. Wouldn't surprise me too see him end up in Dallas with a few connections there.

When will Quenville learn to turn to his right. Gets beat wide all the time.

He only does one thing well..Shot the puck from the point

The scanners were not operating. There was no accurate ticket count due to tickets on phones, printed tickets were not part of the count

Still no fan bus?

Watching live. If Clooston even has 1/2 a brain, Shaw should sit the rest of the game. No lessons ever learned.

I feel like Lethbridge has a lot more urgency in their game. Even though the game is tied 2-2 going into the third Lethbridge has been the better team tonight.

The Tigers aren't getting a lot of prime chances, wheras the Canes are generating a few.
The Tigers have usually been a third period team. The wong/Estephan line has played a ton of minutes so hopefully the Tigers can push the pace.

They really need that slapper from quenneville going!

Lots more undisciplined play - gotta blame the coach... Better shake things up tomorrow by putting in some of the scratches.

Wonder if Willie wants to come back. I am sick of watching this.
Where is our defence?? The Hurricanes have 3 infront of the next and we don't do anything to move them. When we are in the O zone we rarely have one infront of the net.
Honestly, how the heck to you blow 2 2 goals leads in back to back games??? Tigers are not playing well. So far they deserve to get eliminated in 5.

Call Willie, is he available for tomorrow night? And the following season?

I sure hope they replace Clouston this year. I am so tired of hearing him and watching how he wants the players to play. This is a talented team, not to often you see 4 lines that can score and skate like they do.
"Go Tigers Go." We are all behind you tonight!
