Grbavac Grabs Dallas Rookie Tourney Invite

The Dallas Stars have made a roster change for the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, which runs Sept. 11-15. Defenseman Hubert Labrie, who injured a knee at his junior team's training camp, has been taken off the roster.

Added to the roster is forward Cole Grbavac, a gritty, physical right wing who is currently with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. Grbavac played under Stars associate coach Willie Desjardins last season.

The Medicine Hat Tigers Twitter feed is reporting Bretton Cameron has a tryout invite with the Hartford Wolf-pack of the AHL.

Colton Grant will be playing University Hockey for the Calgary Dinos

The Tigers Preseason starts this weekend. The Tigers will play Saturday and Sunday up in Edmonton against the Prince George Cougars and the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Tradition Continues
Tigers TV has a new video up titled "2010-2011 the tradition continues". It is a mashup of plays from seasons past. I enjoyed watching it and recommend you check it out.

so when are they going to get rid of the extra bodies in camp

What they have done in years past is dress a really young roster up in Edmonton for the weekend games and then drop the 15 year olds and anyone who has fallen behind at weeks end.

Then the real battle for roster spots starts.

The Tigers have 7-8 players going to nhl camps and IT looks like there will be some heavy competition for spots, so they will keep some of these players for a while yet.
