Brief Thoughts
Tigers had a bit of a rough start but I thought Marek Langhamer made a couple really good saves and If it wasn't for his early stops the Tigers could have been down a few quick goals early. I also thought Langhamer showed a lot more confidence playing the puck behind his net.
Jayden Hart was back after his unknown illness and looked really good scoring a pair of goals.
I thought his line of Boston Leier, and Jake Doty played really well together. Doty scored his first goal as a Tiger and also just missed an open net chance.
Boson Leier also had a helluva game with 4 assists on the night. He is finding his game like he did at the end of last season.
The Tigers put Kyle Becker back on the first PP unit and whaddya know their powerplay scored 2 goals, including a goal by Becker. Becker didn't have his best game tonight but as of right now I think he should be a staple on the first PP unit until proven otherwise.
Chad Butcher also scored his first goal as a Tiger.
Elgin Pearce had a 2 point night and is looking like a very good pickup. Getting him for a 5th rounder will make up for the deal when the Tigers gave up a 3rd for Hurley.
I thought PG's forwards got caught up in the rush way too often and their goal-tending wasn't very good. They fumbled the puck around lots and it just wasn't their night.
With the big lead by the second period the Tigers were able to give a lot of ice time to the 4th line, and that should help out fatigue-wise as tomorrow is their 4th game in 5 nights.

Inside Scoop:
Boston Leier has been our best player the last three games. He should have been a star in the EDM game. Somehow, the folks picking the three stars can't see past the score sheet some nights.
He gets about a 3rd of Shinkaruk's ice, and has put up better numbers with less ice time. Also he leads the team in Plus Minus. Good for him.
Thanks for the update reports Tiger Turf!! They are appreciated.
As for Hart, he had a Stomach virus apparently. Great to see him back, and providing secondary scoring. If you can call it that!!
Very exciting game tonite Labelle made some nice hits and Butchers hard work paid off looking forward to lots more from them both
Great job guys! All along I thought we just needed to play simple and click on the PP. Also, I think we saw the talent we have and we gotta remember that as we will go thru tough times as we are young and inexperienced. Games like this are good for the guys! Go tigers go!
Congrats to Dylan Busenius for collecting his 50th point for the Tigers! And also, congrats to Boston Leier for collecting his 51st point with the Tigers!
Correction on Becker, Busenius was on the 1st PP tonight with assist on Pearce's goal coming because he was still on the ice from his shift with the first unit and hadn't yet changed. 2nd unit pair was Becker and Lewington then Jensen.
I said before the season started that Boston was a huge part of this team and deserved the C or an A. I think the past 3 games has proven that. He is heart and soul and adds points in every game. Great job Boston! I would like to see a permanent A on his jersey!
I agree Leier is playing very well...The team shouldn't always be about Shinkaruk...It should be about the team.
Not sure who picked the three stars but how they could leave Langhammer out is beyond me. If not for him they would have been down by three or more at the end of one period.
Nice to see the second powerplay unit on the ice. They seem to produce on the PP. So both PP goals tonight were from the second unit! Way to go!
I have to say , a goalie showing confidence playing the puck is something learned in Midget/Bantam. AGoalie should bring this to WHL not learn it here. Both Tigers goalies last year owned the puck. Bunz could play out with his puck skills, amazing, but this year we have pee wee puck handlers. And don't say were in a building year. This is basic. Damn I'm one frustrated fan. Just have to vent so I can sleep after loosing when we just won last night.
