Tigers Defeat Brandon 3-0

I only watched a little bit of this game so I can't give a full summary.

Cam Lanigan made a bunch of good saves and didn't give up many rebounds.

Curtis Valk picked up his 34th, and 35th goals of the season and Elgin Pearce potted his 25th.

The win leapfrogs the Tigers over Swift Current in the standings to put a 1 point lead on 6th place. The Broncos lost to Prince Albert Wednesday.

I am liking the effort and the playoff push! This young team deserves to be in the playoffs! Valk is playing so well, as is Pearce! And Lanigan has been lights out, I am sure a pro contract is in his near future! I think things are coming together for this team. Keep it up boys! Us fans are pretty excited for playoffs!

Tigers on a roll... but not down the highway. Caught in snow storm last night on the way back from Brandon, at 3am. ended up staying overnight in Regina.

Saturday will be a tough game, hope the boys are ready to fight for those 2 big points. And we have a home and home with SC which will play a huge role as to where we end up in the playoffs. Big games coming up, lets go Tigers!!!!

Blades are a true test they are the hottest team besides Portland right now and they have been trucking teams that start slow against them, Tigers better bring their A game or they will get run over like Edmonton did to them

I live far from the Tigers, I enjoy following your blog. I saw Valk at rookie skate June '12, thought he was really good. Saw him at main camp, thought he was the best forward. Hard worker, competes, looked like he wanted to win whenever on the ice. I'm not supprised he is getting respectable pts in the WHL.Keep it up Valk!! He is the player I would trade for if I was a team thinking I had a chance to go all the way in the playoffs.
